GeiDeLei Namoz Support

A guide to Qibla direction, prayer times, guided prayer, and more

GeiDeLei Namoz App Icon

GeiDeLei Namoz is a free companion for the daily prayers, provided with no subscriptions, ads, or in-app purchases. It doesn't collect personal information and doesn't require an account.

Qibla Direction

The compass on the main screen points toward the Kaaba in Mecca using your device's live heading, so it turns as you turn. It needs a location — either your device's current GPS location, or a city you search for manually — to calculate the correct bearing.

Prayer Times & Reminders

Today's five daily prayers are calculated for your location and calculation method, both of which can be changed in Settings. Tap a prayer's book icon to open its guided walkthrough.

Reminders can be turned on or off globally, or for each individual prayer, from the Notifications section in Settings.

Guided Prayer

Every prayer — Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Witr — has a step-by-step guide showing the Arabic text, transliteration, and the posture for each step, so you can follow along at your own pace. A Posture Guidance setting adjusts body-position notes for rukūʿ, sujūd, and sitting.

These steps follow common Hanafi practice. Some details of prayer are understood differently across schools of thought — treat this as a helpful guide, not the only correct form.

Islamic Calendar

Ramadan, both Eids, and other observances are listed with estimated dates, calculated using the standard tabular Islamic calendar. Selected holidays can be added directly to your device's own calendar app.

Actual moon-sighting announcements can land a day earlier or later than the estimate, especially for Ramadan and Eid. Tap a holiday's date to adjust it once your community confirms the real one — this only changes what's shown on your device.

Nearby Mosques

Search for the mosques closest to your current location, and open directions to any of them in Apple Maps with one tap.

Languages

The interface is available in English, Russian, Tajik, Turkish, Arabic, French, German, and Spanish, with more planned. Choose one directly, or leave it set to Follow System Language to match your device automatically.

Permissions

Location

Used on-device only, to calculate the Qibla direction, today's prayer times, and nearby mosques. It is never sent to us or stored on any server.

Notifications

Used only to alert you at the prayer times you've chosen to be reminded about.

Calendar

Requested only when you choose to add a holiday to your calendar. The app only ever adds the events you select — it never reads or modifies anything already on your calendar.
