A guide to Norka
Norka is a live video-scratching and composing app — mix, blend, and perform with your own video clips in real time, then record the whole performance and export it as a finished video.
Norka is free, with no subscriptions, ads, or in-app purchases.
A quick walkthrough of Norka's features.
Norka turns your video clips into a live instrument. Load clips into slots, then use the scratch wheel to play, reverse, and vary the speed of a clip in real time — just like scratching a record, but with video and its audio moving together.
Layer live Video FX on top of your main clip, crossfade smoothly between clips with Transitions, and shape the sound of your performance with per-slot gain, pan, and aux sends on the mixer.
Tap an empty slot to import a clip from Photos. From there you can trim it down, rotate it, pick a specific frame as its thumbnail, and adjust its volume — all before it ever hits a slot.
Once your clips are loaded, hit record and everything you do live — wheel scratches, transitions, live FX, mix moves — is captured as a recorded performance you can play back exactly as it happened.
Preview your recorded performance in Mixdown, then export it as a finished video file — choose vertical or horizontal orientation to match where it's headed.
